In this slow sunday morning I’m waiting and thinking that it’s some time that I don’t blog so I decided to blog even if with a short and quick post.

This brief post regards the new twitter trend that Ashton Kutcher created when he challenged CNN to reach 1.000.000 users. He won… and now? something changed?
Now Ashton has a great marketing potential because the can reach really a lot of people now, people that he can redirect to sites and news.. e now has great power of leading people over internet.
Now also Oprah has a twitter account, and she has a great power of marketing. We can see that there are a lot of people like celebrities that has also a great following that to the traditional media system.

Now Twitter is becoming a great marketing opportunity for companies, mostly because those two celebrities are going to attract on twitter people not so tech savvy, or anyway not caring about internet, a customer base that companies are going to love, something that Twitter was missing to market… now they have.

Twitter are going to be full of Oprah’s followers that are the preferred target for companies, and they are going to get all the benefits, cause they can monitor directly the results of any campaign and message and get a better ROI and KPI results.

Fortunately Twitter has been made in a away that you can follow you care about, but in the meanwhile it will become the next fashion toy.

Hope for the best for twitter, but I don’t like to be targeted by companies and feel like a number for big companies…
